If they wanted to end piracy they would... end of story

Guess I have to say this again.

It's almost impossible to prevent piracy, especially in a manner that is convenient for loyal customers.

Anyone who develops software will tell you this.

'nuff said.

so go ahead and do it already if you are so smart... All you do is keep dodging the whole issue. You can call me all the names you want but you still can't answer my question.

You've made statements to contradict all of those quotes I listed. That makes you a liar. You say one thing and then do the exact same thing that you mocked others for doing. All you've done is attack personal character based on conjecture as if it somehow makes you less of an asshole.

You steal, but I'm an asshole?

What a dumbass.

You steal, and then are concerned about your character?

What a dumbass.

That's like saying a Jeweler who leaves his Jewelry out on his porch in a bad neighborhood is not in any way responsible for the theft.

Spoken like a thief.

Only an asshole with no moral values would even think that way.

Then they should also tell you that allowing piracy is a calculated business move to keep their product in line with what customers want and not just an inevitability... So they shouldn't really bitch so much about it happening then.

and around we go...

Have you also worked in the software business?

Or is this just your "belief" on how the software business works?

Pretext after pretext for taking what someone else worked to produce, and to which you have no right. Badmouth companies, then steal their product. How could such low, despicable people ever invent anything which you were not smart enough to invent yourself? Well, maybe they just got lucky, or stumbled on it, invented it by mistake. Anyway, after you decide how swinely they are, then you can feel good about yourself ripping it off.

Wait 'til your mom kicks you out and you have to work for a paycheck. You'll be protective of that paycheck.

I work full time in the summer and damn near it when I have a full class load... because I DO pay my own bills, rent, electric, internet, car insurance and then there is the food I eat and the gas I need to go anywhere.

I love how insults get pulled out of peoples asses so often around here when they know nothing about the person it's directed too.

SO tell me how wrong I am. Tell me how they put the best piracy protection they can buy or design in thier programs to prevent this. If they don't because the costs outweigh the benefits then it is a calculated choice. And if that chioce isn't taken into account they aren't running a good business.

Are you the kind of person who finds a wallet with cash in it, and the address of the person inside...takes the cash and says oh well they shouldn't have dropped it in the first place. You don't have to be made to do the right thing, you make the choice whether to or not.

Why do you think you have the right to use illegal software? By the way, i don't really care, but however am curious as to how you justify it.

So the way you justify it is by evading the question?

I'm not trying to justify stealing, although I believe there are serious mitigating factors involved in this type of "stealing." It's certainly not as black and white as some people make it our to be... But some people think they should deport 12 million functioning members of society because they broke a law about crossing an imaginary line too. So...

DAMN IT!!! I only got back in this thread from hell to say that someone who posts their IQ on line is a douche bag...

How did this happen? damn this site!!!
