Link please. All the accounts I've read say he took his first guitar from the trash, and his dad sold his own sax to by Jimi his first electric. That's from a video interview in the early '70s.

I don't have a link. I read it in an interview. Don't know what to tell you on it. He clearly stated that he had to steal most of his equipment in the beginning, including his guitar. I can't say that it said his "first" guitar, but I cleary remember him stating that he did steal guitars.

I can only say that I know what I read. Don't see why he would lie.

Personally, I alway found him over-rated. Not a big fan. Great front man, but just not a great player. I put him in the same category as Jimmy Page....sloppy.

But that is a discussion for another thread.

Eveyone has a right to judge. Acting on that judgement is a different matter. I'm entitled to my opinon, and I'm enetitled to voice it, just like everyone else is.

However I don't beleive you or anyone has the right to deny anyone elses right to judge.

I was merely pointing out my views towards stealing. Theives can do what they want, I'm not going to bother stopping them, but no one has any right to tell me I can't think it's wrong or voice my views on the matter.

Of course I'm not going to boycott Hendrix. Did I ever say I condemened or would boycott anyone who stole ever. That would be a bit daft now wouldn't it? It doesn't make me a hypocrite to listen to Hendrix Why the hell would it? Perhaps if I was illegally downloading his stuff. But I don't. Listening to a Hendrix CD I bought is hardly akin to stealing is it...That's a fucking ridiculous notion.

when you judge someone you believe you are better than them, and this is what gives you the right to judge.

Of all the negative feedback I have received nobody has signed it cos their all cowards...Oooops, i'm being judgemental, actually I do think I'm better then the deadbeat losers who bother to give negative feedback, and I see nothing wrong with that, lol...if they have something to say why not address the person/comments they take issue with, inside the thread.


I'm actually quite confident I'm better then alot of people, especially those in government and executive level positions in corporations, it's pretty obvious by how scared they are to lose their positions, and what extreme underhanded measures they take to secure their ability to run the country into the ground, they are very insecure that they will be defeated.

The guy that gave me neg feedback is just pissed because I'm doing his mother almost as much as he is. Guess he is just upset because everyone knows what a whore she is. Still no excuse for being such a coward, though.

And people have no right to use "Judge not, yest thee be judged" as a means of turning away from the better of societal values and the golden rule.
 
I'm not doing that at all. Please show me where I ever said it was ok, or justifiable to steal? I simply said that while stealing is an evil, judging is also an evil.
 
I guess people aren't aware that there is such a thing as "moral relativity"...well there is and it's a fairly simple concept let me explain: while it may be wrong for one person to steal, it can be righteous for another depending on their situation...

This is one of many areas where our injustice system is a complete failure, as it does not take into account that a man who stole food to feed his starving daughter was laid off so a less-competent person with a college degree who he trained could take his place...or simply that he is paid $8/hr (not a livable wage) and can't afford food after housing, electric and heating fuel expenses...there is no justice for them built into the system, so may he create his own form of street justice, which is far more just then the travesty that is the entire court system of the united states of corporate america that you pathetic pitiful americans actually think is the best in the world...

The term higher education denotes a form of education that is actually designed to dumb down it's participants, and to mold them to fit in nicely with the status quo and not cause any problems.
