Do you re-write?

Yup...I re-write......
musically and lyrically as well....

I just got reviewed by A&R pros for a tune I wrote with my pal Willie.......

I thought it was our best tune....

they said it was good but, that I had narrowed the usage of the tune by being soooo specific in detail and timeline lyrically that it was doubtful if it could be used for anything but a Civil War Film.....

I still think it's our best though....

go figure...

Joro,
Is that the tune you posted a while back? The civil war tune....I thought it was a great tune. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure I remember it.

I guess I could be wrong too.

bd :D

edit: I don't think this post gets my point across. Don't re-write that song. Even if they're right about the commercial value of that song.....so what? It would be an excellent cut on your cd.

im still rewriting songs i started 4 years ago...im not sure they are ever "finished"..so to speak..once i have them on c.d. i might still sing diff lyrics live..by live i mean for my wife..;)

Yeah...that's the one man...

I hear what your saying,...and I agree.....

it just sucks when you think something is good...really good....

and you get the wind knocked out of your sails...

*sigh*

just gotta write better songs...ya know?

No whining allowed :D

Thanks bd...
Joe

I have one song that I wrote when I was like 16 and I consider it my baby that is growing. I have rewritten it like more times that I care to say. So yes I have one song that I rewrite. Really there is no reason why, I guess that it is just a special song to me.
