Very nice performance. I like the main guitar riff a lot.

Drums sound good, but the bass is coming and going a bit for me, may just be my crappy set-up here (bookshelf speakers + sub connected to a laptop), but the bass guitar is filling up a certain lower-mid range area during the main riff part, but when the changes occur, that frequency is largely absent and it kind of falls off.

I like the spring reverby sound on the solo (that's what your looking for with surfish music, right?) but it did contrast pretty sharply with the way everything else is spatially. Maybe dial it back, or add just a smidge of that same verb to everything else if possible...just some thoughts. Nice job queepy.

Cool tune. It gets kind of boring. Instrumentals need some kind of solo melody throughout to keep it interesting and no solo till it's already been playing for a minute give or take. Then it goes back to the same stuff I already heard for a minute.

Vocals or some kind of lead that changes throughout would make it better for me...

Yeah, I hear you about the bass on that change part...I did kind of play it a little more laid back, was actually considering just having that guitar going that little riff.....I agree it is kinda of weak sounding....I think I may have goofed during tracking as I had a lot of reverb on the guitar solo as I tracked from my POD, while the other guitars I tracked relatively dry...that, as well as the dry drums , has made this pretty difficult to mesh together....
Thanks for the feedback!

Hey FoulPhil, actually have some lyrics written for this , wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it instrumental, or try the vocals....usually my "instrumentals" are pretty much guitar wank-fest, so I tried to keep this a little more structured....point well taken on the sameness vibe of this , still a work in progress, I am going to try to add some variety to it...
Thanks for listening and your comments!

Sounds cool queepy. The drums are fine, just too roomy. Take some reverb off of them and I bet they sit better.

Thanks Greg, will try that...I actually went the other way and added more verb to the drums to match the guitar....sounded like some banging metal trash cans 1/2 mile away:eek:.....not good.
