sorry for the delay guys i have been busy with setting my computer business up at the same time.. dont worry things will be progressing from monday i promise you.

right now im surrounded by stock ;) i am building pcs with 5.1 surround systems, software 512mb ram 2800+ processor and a nice 17" tft pro grade screen all for 500 that includes v.a.t here in the uk.. and they are going very well (just thought some promotion wouldnt go astray) a piccy of the units follows..

Where did you get the legs from?

This is a really impressive build. It even encourages me to try something but, where do I ge legs like yours to build around? Thanks for your help.

OKay.. so I have been doing some re-design on my desk and taking from this thread to come up with some stuff... I have found that getting the cam screws to line up and be the correct depth is a big challenge. the directions on the package say that I need a 5/8 inch hole... but in reality I need a 15mm hole (slightly smaller than 5/8) What a pain.

ok heres a little info reguarding the cams.

you need a cam forstner bit, this is 16mm for the cam dowels they are 5mm holes that they screw into, the hole that the lock dowels go into on the sides are 8 mm holes and these are at 9mm the center of the piece, if you use a thicker size say 25 mm this doesnt change the holes for the dowels to go into the cams are still 9mm down.

heres a little piccy

sorry i havent been in guys, i have had to take time out due to illness. i havent forgotten you all and i know you want to see this finished. and the plans up. i will give you the plans for the legs and the front rear and side panels either today or tomorrow.

Hi all, well im getting better and im able to do a few things, so i thought you had all been waiting long enough for me..

heres something to get you started, the rest will follow in the next few days.

ok heres two pieces to the plan.

first theres the legs. REMEMBER THAT THE FLAT 4MM SECTION IS HANDED AND THE FOLDS POINT INTO THE UNIT ON EACH LEG.

then theres the panels, remember that the rear panel is 22mm higher than the fron due to the way the side panels and front shelf meet up. this will become clear when the sides are upped here also.

enjoy for now.. plans.zip attatched..
