and I just deleted nuendo off of my computer, and will not pirate any other software. I'm sorry if I offended any body, but nobody should be getting pissed off unless they themselves actually work for steinberg. My 00.02 cents.

Oh and noisedude I undestand what you are saying. Though, this thread has nothing to do with nuendo/pirating/etc. I simply asked a question on distortion and I just "mentioned" nuendo and some kids got all rawled up and made it into a big ass debate. So I didn't "stir" everyone up, I believe Glen did, or whoever got pissed in the first place.

Well, could somebody just close this thread? It has obviously turned into a shit-talking event and I was offered no help at all, besides SuicideNote ... Thanks to him, btw.
 
Guys...I'm probably asking for a beating here, but I have to say that I've read Engineer's posts before. He's not a bad guy at all and actually pretty cool. Look, he's 18 years old and got off on the wrong foot by expressing himself maybe in a way he shouldn't have. But he felt attacked. I'm not saying he SHOULD have felt attacked, I'm just saying that's how it seemed to HIM. You know, when I first got into computers, which is only about 3 years ago, I met people on the internet from MP3.com. Some pretty cool musicians. I didn't even know what pirating was. One guy sent me Cubase, ACID PRO and Wavelab telling me "here man, these are great programs"...I downloaded them and thanked him, thinking he was doing a favor and there was nothing wrong with it. I didn't understand that it was illegal, I knew NOTHING about computers and the internet. I have a feeling something similar happened with The Engineer. I'm not taking sides because I totally respect and understand Glen and others' frustration with this kind of thing, but alot of this kind of thing happens out of pure ignorance like it did in my case.

I'm just saying.
 
Thank you, Rami. I had some guy send me the program too, I didn't know it was such a big deal to have someone send you software, but I guess it is. I've never had this problem on other boards, but I guess people are more uptight on here. How do I close a thread, btw? @ Bigwillz?
