My little cuz came into my studio room (while I wasnt arnd) and pressed the centre of the woofer of my behringer truth (right side only)!!! Now it's crumpled and collapsed inwards.

Is there any way to make it pop back out without sending it for servicing?

A desperate KB!!!

If you mean the very center of the speaker (dust cap), being "misformed" will have little or no effect on the sound of the speaker. It's function is only to keep debris from entering the gap of the speaker magnet. You can however try a couple of things to straighten it out

1) Stick a piece of tape (I usually use masking tape ) to the dust cap and let it sit overnite. The next day slowly pull on the tape untill the cap gets back into shape. Peel off the tape and toss it.

2) If it's really crinkled, take a stick pin and put a slight bend in the end of it. poke it through the dust cap making a very small hole. Use the bend in the end of the pin to pull the dust cap back in to form. Remove the pin. The hole should be small enough not to have to worry about and it should be barely visible even on close inspection.

Thanks all for your advice monte and stealthtech...I used the masking tape method and it worked! Slight over-reation on my part then for calling this a disaster! Apologies!
