Digital I/O loop between my mixer and computer

hi everyone, i've got a ma-ad8 digital mixer, going out to my computer via digital coaxial cable, and i'm using my computers digital out to go into my mixer (what i have my monitors hooked up to)...the thing is, is that i am getting a very nasty effect due to the audio loop i've created, how can i fix this?? i'm guessing it'll be somewhere in my soundcards software *game theatre XP =(* but i can't seem to find it.
