Hi there, I recently bought a Digi002 desk which has slotted in with PT beautifully (i already had an M-Box2 which i've swapped for the desk so software already installed) - flying faders, shortcuts, brilliant - apart from i now can't play any audio back from the Mac into the monitors, it obviously works, because PT does - i'm thinking bout stuff on the internet, hard drived tunes etc. I've tried the obvious (system pref: audio: drivers and so on, sometimes it recognises the 002 sometimes not but it makes no difference), i've tried running a cable out of the headphone socket back into the 002 via alt SRC and also via a spare channel (7-8) and... nothing! It's not the end of the world, but i'm on PT full time at the moment and it's boring waiting for things to process and save without the internet! Sorry if this has been covered before, i had a look but couldn't find anything, hope someone can help... THANKS!!

Ok, so Pro tools audio is fine, but mac audio like itunes etc is not coming through?
What version of osx are you on?

Go to utilities / audio midi setup and make sure that the digi 002 is selected as your main and system output if it's listed.
Do you have the core audio manager installed?
Are the drivers all up to date? (see avid.com)

Also, I used to have to turn my 003 on before the mac if that's useful.

Thanks for getting back to me, yes to all of the above, but i've since noticed that when i first switch on, if i go on the internet before using PT i can have audio, then once i've used it i can only play things through PT until i restart. v confusing. thanks anyhow.

I'm struggling to remember to be honest, because it works differently with PT9 and the new coreaudio drivers.

IIRC, the digicore audio manager should bounce open when you play itunes/youtube whatever, right?
and if it's connected, Pro tools won't launch or work properly?

I vaguely remember something about having to kill a process in utilities/activity monitor to force it to work again.
