Delta 1010LT preamp noise.

I've been doing drums lately and it seemsthat everytime I use the preamp on the Delta it sounds bad. It sounds like it being distorted like there is too much level. But even when the level is the lowest it sounds the same. The levels I get into Audition look ok but the sound itself still sounds like this.
Is this just the preamp sucking cause I never really noticed anything when I doing vocals or guitar with it.

Yeah, I could never pad those pre's enough to get useable signal, so I switched the jumpers to be line in, and now I just use external pre's hooked into the XLR's. You can figure out how to do this in the manual.

Well that sucks! I looking to get an actual Delta1010, not the LT. Does anyone have any experience with those?

I was on the same boat, I never could manage those pre´s. So I finally bought a Yamaha MG mixer. I´m planning to hook up the pre´s (I´ll move the jumpers of course) to my mixer, I need cables first.
