Hi
I am using an audiobox USB interface, a Rode NT-1 Pro microphone and for the moment, Garage Band (still learning how to use the professional software).
All these components up until now have been working pretty much perfectly, but just recently I recorded a vocal track (and sang it in time with the music) and when I played it back, there was about a second long delay in the track and my just-recorded vocal part sounded out of time with the rest of the music.
I tried re-recording it, adjusting the playback and input levels on the interface, deleting the track, creating a new one, re-recorded again and again and I still am having the same problem.
However, I started a totally different project and recorded and vocal track in it, and the problem suddenly went away. But going back to my two other projects, the problem reappeared immediately.
Is this a problem with my interface??? Why is it happening now all of a sudden??? All that has changed between the last time I recorded and when I started having these problems was that I moved the mic stand into a couple of different positions.
I have a deadline on these two songs for this coming Tuesday so need help urgently!!!!!!
Thank you

): "Note that you can turn off GarageBand's Snap to Grid feature to get a bit more accuracy in where your selection starts and finishes. (With it on, GarageBand will automatically select chunks of a minimum of a 16th of a beat in length, the exact size of the grid-snap depending on how far in you've zoomed). You can toggle this option on and off via the Control menu, or by pressing command-G".
