Defective (I ripped off Heatmiser's title!!!)

New tune. I was working with "Demented", but I knew that wasn't what I really wanted. I was going through dictionaries trying to find the word I needed as the title, tried everything from "depressive" to "delicious". And then, about a week ago, I stumbled upon Heatmiser's tune "Defective", and said "That's it. That's the word I was looking for!!!:.

So, I had to steal it. Sorry Heat. We can call this a Rami/Miser collob. Thanx for the inspiration.

So, anyway, any crits on the mix/sounds/performance/tune are always greatly appreciated and considered. This is a first quicl mix, and it never ends up being the last.

nice grind on that guitar!
i love the rolling riffs...

nice tight harmonies.
the voice mix sounds nasal

in fact, there's a lot of high end missing on the guitar and voice and snare

low end sounds good.
 
Call it 'Awesome'. :D Wicked tune Rami. Always a pleasure listening to your stuff, it's faultless to my ears. I really like the stuff that kicks in at 2:35. Haven't really heard that from you before, it was cool. Made it for me actually.

Thanx man. I'llhave to look into those things. I'm still getting to know my new amp and how to mic it, so you may be right.

The nasal vocals are probably just my voice. :D

This one's nice! I really like the guitar riffage.

It may be straight up rock n' roll but there's always a twist or two in your tunes that keep it fresh and exciting.

Keep it coming! I quite enjoy your stuff :)
 
Cool tune Rami, I ain't too "edumicated"neither! :facepalm:

what I love about your mixing is you seem to get things out wide,with a snappy sound to everything,

which leaves loads of space right up the middle for anything you want to bring attention to!

loadsa room & very good!

Thanx a lot. I really appreciate all the comments. I wonder if anyone hears the issues Gonzo mentioned, lack of highs in the guitars, snare and vocals. This concerns me.

it's an aesthetic, really...

i mean, you can go back and listen to some classic rock productions, and they wont have extended highs and whatnot..

but the deal would be, to take your very favorite pro production, listen to ALL of it thru your monitors, at a nice listening volume...

THEN, put your song on, and compare them.
