What are you trying to say? Is it good or bad?
Thunder33 said:for the money, it will get the job done for you.
Bloodsoaked said:Hey Adam P, where can I find some of his music? Got any links? Thanks...

It is THE bang for the buck 2 channel mic preamp.
Personally I have no basis for comparison, except for my Mackie 808m (PA) which I used to use for a mic pre for recording. The DMP3 was a noticable improvement over this![]()

FWIW~I've heard many people talk badly of the quality of Behringer gear.
No experience with any myself....

CarcPazu said:Hi dudes,
I love Death Metal. I'm currently working on a big experimental death metal project as we speak (since 2 years now). It's basicaly just one song with a running time of 45 minutes and up. I'm not at the mixing stage at the moment so I won't post it now, but I plan to open a thread here once the tracking is finished in hope to get some advices with my mix.
It can be very difficult to record a good quality death metal.
I guess it all depends of your standards. Nowadays Death Metal bands bare some of the best production ever (Opeth, Kataklysm, Decapitated, Misery Index, Dying Fetus etc...)
My only advice would be to be very carefull with the drums programming since Death Metal is mostly about good drumming. Personnaly I bought the BFD plugin in Sonar 4, combined with my drummer with his triggers and we get the drum sound we were dreaming of. I didn't tryed DFH since I'm more than happy with BFD.
Bloodsoaked said:It would be great if you got a thread going. A cool thread for Death Metal and all of it home recording needs. I am sure I will be asking you some questions.
Bloodsoaked said:Is the DFHS a drum machine program/software or is it just drum samples that can be added to drum machine software for different sounds?
.....i was too late!

metalhead28 said:As far as pres/mixers go....if you're only recording one instrument at a time you don't really need a mixer. You might wish you had one down the road, but you won't regret buying a stand alone preamp at this stage either. I would however invest in a 2 channel pre-amp just so you have the option to record a guitar with two mics.
metalhead28 said:DFHS is not a drum "machine". That seems to imply hardware. It is a library of samples (85,000 of them) and a sampler program to play them which is triggered by a MIDI track in your host software.
