Good evening all,

I am in a dilema, the wife gave me the OK to purchase a half stack, but I'm torn between these two amps. Anybody have any advise? I have tried them both, and they both sound sweet! The Marshall sounds a bit better for distortion, but the CT is so versital.

Thanks

Jeez......those amps are not even in the same ballpark. I think you have to decide what you are looking for. A bunch of effects and a great clean, or the smoothest distortion known to man.

Come to think of it....half stacks are really over-rated. I would suggest looking into a used JCM900 2x12 combo and a Fender Twin. You would still have money left over for a VERY nice multieffects processor.

(A/B or Y them for a very nice setup. I say leave the Twin on all the time, then kick on the 900 for major power.)

I'd get the cyber twin. (It's got those cool knobs that roll around all by themselves.)

The CyberTwin definitly does sound like a great choice. Excellent clean tones and lots of versatility.

Although, personally, I'd get the TSL. I love the tone.

The choice may come down to your taste in tone. The versatility of the CyberTwin does help it. If you want the killer Fender clean with versatility, get the CyberTwin. However, if you want that killer Marshall distortion with a decent clean, get the TSL.

I agree with Lopp. If you prefer a cleaner tone - the Twin has crisp, clean tones. If you want a multi-range of distortions, get the TSL or the DSL(and a distortion pedal). I have a TSL and love it. The clean channel is decent but not the best.
