I did a search and didnt find any old posts with this question. So I've been doing the computer based recording thing for a little over a year now; main programs/ gear include:

Sony VAIO PC
Pre Sonus Firepod
Triton LE
MPC200XL
Behringer Truth Active Monitors
MXL 990 Mic
Sony MDR-V500 Headphones
Cubase SX2
Adobe Audition2
bunch of cables

Not the best setup but it's aight I guess. I'm by no means a pro (goes without saying) and have plenty to learn. With that being said my question is as follows.....

I've been reading up alot on Reason 3.0, I also downloaded the demo and played around with it a little. I was curious to know what you all thought about Reason 3.0 in comparison to Cubase (good/ bad, benefits/ shortfalls etc)? I was considering switching over to Reason for a couple of different reasons or using the 2 together. Thought it would be beneficial to inquire from those that probably know more about both than I do to see what u thought. Kind of like a comparison/ contrast type thing. My apologies for the extended post. :D

reason does not record audio so they are completely different programs in that regard, I would use both via rewire

If you have the sophistication to change both the color and the font in your post --- and please just use the default settings like everyone else does from now on --- you should be able to spell 'all right'.

I second using Cubase as a sequencer and Reason as a sound source.

.

Cubase = sequencer, multitrack recorder
Reason = soft synths
