I've recently dived into the digital realm and "bought" myself a copy of cubase SX.

I've been importing tracks from my ADAT via my m-audio 24bit interface and saving them as wav's into wavelab. Clean up the wavs in wavelab i.e remove noise etc etc and them import them onto their own tracks in cubase.

Mix away and do whatever. Then when i'm happy with my sound I export as an mp3.

I set the export options to the high quality 44khz 24bit. However, when I play back the completed export it sounds awful quality wise.

Am I doing something stupid? or more to the point, what am I doing stupid ? :)

Have you tried to export the audio as a wave file to see if there is any difference in the sound quality ?

Bad Player

HI bunglebungle

I think it's a problem of the player. Did you use Windows MediaPlayer?

If yes try another player or select on export 16bit instead of 24bit.

Should work!

Also, make sure the little boxes in the left hand corner marked include "automation" and "effects" is checked.
