Thanks for that. I will give it a go and let you know if more troubleshooting is required.

Should I NOT change the buffer size for now?

Always keep the buffer as high as you can without having latency issues. Meaning you hear a delay when recording tracks.

Thanks so much. You are always so helpful!

Just turning my machine on - seems like it will be working more efficiently...hopefully I don't have too much work to do in getting my iTunes to sync up with my iPod and iPad...I will try to record later tonight to see if there is no issue. If there is I'll make the change in the buffer size.

New Issue - I think this is the first time I'm recording something longer than 3:30. When I export through Audio Mixdown, I'm only getting 3:45 of a 6:50 recording.

How can I fix that??

Set your locators at the top of the project window man. That tells Cubase what to export. :)

Dude what's up with Cubase? Just highlighting it was too intuitive for them huh? Gotta make it super hard for everybody.

THANKS MAN!!

The markers are really useful when you are recording live shows and other situations where you would want to mix out bits and pieces of what was recorded. It would drive me nuts if I could only mix out an entire session and then have to open that file up and edit it down to what I needed.

Besides, the quick start Guide should have explained it. There is really no reason to think that a program this deep that does so many thing can just be felt through on instinct.
