Sounds very good. How did you do it? I'm not really fit to comment on the mix with these speakers, but it sounds pretty good too me.

I always wanted to cover one of the songs from this album.
You got bigger balls than I have for givin it a go.
People need to be reminded of just how GOOD CSNY was around the time of this recording.

Good one Shepp!!!

Nice job. To be critical the bass notes are a little muddy. It would be nice if they cut through a little better.

Both the vocals and guitars sound very nice. Great job

Thanks for the listen and comments folks.
Canopus,I recorded the first guitar in stereo(mxl 603's)using an
X-Y configuration at the 12 fret(about 5" off the fingerboard) of my Taylor 110gb.The mics were run into a presonus blue tube
preamp(I know,I know already!!!I am saving for a real one)and
from there into a Yamaha aw4416,no E.Q.,no effects.I added a
touch of reverb and a very slight echo at mix down. The second
guitar(rt side)was recorded using one mxl 603 pointed straight
at the 12 fret of the same guitar and thru the same preamp.
No E.Q. or effects on this while tracking, but lots of reverb at
mix down.Sent the vox thru an avlex condenser and into the
blue tube, then to 2 seperate tracks of the aw4416 and tried
"Exciting Compressor"trick I read about somewhere on this
bbs. From what I can hear,I need to work on that trick some
more.
Tex,thanx for the listen, your observation is dead on.One of the
things I am experimenting with now is to try to fix problems such
as this with better mic placement, rather than E.Q.

I am not really familiar with the original but this sounds really nice. Great Job!

Yo' Shep-B-R-Dee, I envy homiez like you who can sing and record thier vocs w/o efx; clean, clear & concise! .......Wait......
I'm listening for a 3rd time........... . Extremely pleasant rendition!
Your acoustic could use some low to upper mid boosting but not much! Good job!!!!
