The Way It Moves
BARF!

The guitars are so thin! Why??? Poor Mark Tremonti :(

At least he made up for it with Blackbird. Those guitars are AMAZING!

FYI, that entire album (My Own Prison) was recorded on a pretty low budget.

yeah, i think they only had 5000 dollars or so. i think mr tremonti only had a fender twin to record that album. no idea really.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he was using either a Dual or Triple Rectifier back then to track his distorted guitars...

I could care less about the tones - that album sucks WAY less than anything Creed wrote since (I blame Scott Stapp, the riffs were always good if you could ignore icreasingly pathetic lyrics).

But yeah, the two Alter Bridge discs are great - anyone who in this day and age can thank Troy Stetina in the liner notes has my respect. :)

And he plugged straight into the board for the cleans.

Really? The clean tones suck, as tones, but they kind of work well with the music... Surprising I guess, as I actually really like the Recto clean.

You should be slapped for liking the Recto clean.

I guess it has that kind of sound about it... that it was plugged into the board directly. Definitely not digging the tones on that album. I didn't know that he was using Mesa stuff back then... I thought they were all broke and just using the best that they could get. Maybe that Mesa was it :D

Hey, maybe it's just the fact that I gather the Rectoverb 1x12 has one of the best cleans in the Recto series, and furthermore they've finally begun to bias them a bit hotter (mine was made within the last year), but I can get a totally authentic SRV clean out of my Rectoverb 50.

If you're more the Jazz Chorus type or something, maybe I'll understand why you dislike it, but if like me you like bluesy cleans with just a hint of grit, the Rectoverb owns.
