Crackling in monitors

Hey all.
Just today I started getting crackling in my monitors. I use Pro Tools 8 with an MBOX2 on Windows 7 64bit. I've never had this problem before. I restarted my computer and it was fine, but in the middle of mixing the crackling just started again. I even hear it while not playing anything. It just constantly crackles. Any ideas? Thanks

Update: I closed pro tools and about 5 or 6 minutes later...crackling just stops. Weeeeeird.
 
I have had noise from my speakers since I introduced a Focusrite Saffire Pro to my set up. A constant really loud buzzing that is related to whats happening on my computer, eg moving the cursor, internet page loading. Its really annoying and Focusrite clearly had no idea whats causing it as they were relatively unhelpful.
