Ok I'm going to record a metronome onto on track
Don't have any drums at all.
So what is a better option.
listen to the metro and beat a COWBELL on to another track
and maybe come back and beat a cardboard box on the down stroke?
a 55gallon barrel would be cool but I can't swing a sleg hammer that fast.

I don't know the site, but I think I've seen online downloadable metronomes.

You're just trying to get a metronome recorded?

If so, you could just mic the metronome at the speed you want. This is what I did with my QwikTime metronome years ago before my recording program had a built in audio metronome (it only had a MIDI metronome before that and it was really flaky).
