hey dudes,

I'm almost certain the vocals are out of key.. my drums are still broke, so I was forced to rely on a machine..

please confirm the vocals are out.. I'm getting over a cold so you can also hear the most nasal vocal sound imaginable..

please rip every part of it to shreds..

It's a very loose interpretation of 'crazy' by Seal..

thanks as always if you bother..

last tune.. 'crazy'

man this is the cleanest i have heard your voice.....nice job.
man to me his would be even cooler with ..(i hate to say this)..the really affected vocals that im used to hearing from you.....this is cool ...who.....at 2:30 er so it gets really good...that growling sound is fuckin great.....you must have higher end keybords than me cause i sure as shit dont have the killer sounds that you do...or do you make these yerself??.....i am the king of presets so... .....you know i cant be bothered with actually trying to acheive a good sound....anyway....cool song ...nice rendition.

jamal

thanks for the comments fellas..

the keys were a Roland XP-30 for everything except the bass.. The bass was an Alesis QS6.1, from the Vintage Synth expansion card.. into a blue max compressor, and a BBE sonic Maximizer..

yeah the vocals suck, but at least I knew it.. I'll probably take it off nowhere shortly and burn the file..

dude you got 2 replies??....pull it??....wait.....man...its early.....lets just see what develops here.........and please post yer song that was sorta like mine......:D ..or at least send it to me so i can hear it??/

jamal

what's you guitar setup?? I really like your guitar sound!

I kinda wish the vocal could be a bit more up in your face tho.

interesting choice in songs to interpret........i like what has been done........definitely cool at 2:30........i haven't heard the original in probably 5 yrs so i don't know if this is in the original or not, but it is executed well.........the guitars sound good, the vocals are fine........good job

You do some really cool covers man! I love that Safety Dance cover too.

Some cool production in the second part. As always some terrific guitar effects and general sound.

This sounds exactly like the original version. :D

The first verses seemed like they needed something...maybe some higher end guitar work or something. Other than that, good over all balances etc...

Dude PM me with your IP for Q3...then I can just look for ya!

Pretty cool. Can't say that I liked the original the couple times I was forced to hear it...but this is pretty cool.

This is right up your alley Sam

Nice sounds........

You do a great job !!
Thanks for sharing!

oh boy.. I love this song.. :)

I just listened to it yesterday

I really like the keyboard sounds in the seal version..

but your version is creative

are you Ozzy?

:)

Yeah baby.............!

This is VERY cool. I Love the original. This is a great interpretation... true to what you do, yet not so different that it takes away from the original song.
The way that you do the chorus vocal is godamn cool. .....the "we are a little craaaazy" part. .......cool. I can hear a little schnitzel in the nose at the beginning:D In the "crazy" part it works for you though. Ya see..... fairly clean vocs, a nose fulla snot, and still soundin top dog.

I dig those little Tom Morello guitar squeaks, as well as the tamborine....classy choice for this song.... adds a little bit of a dance feel that works well, kinda like how White Zombie got it in 1969 (is that the name of the song?). Some of the Keyboard shit you play is so low that it shakes something loose in the bowels:D .......works in the song though.

Cool stuff man........ this goes on my rotation disc.
.....my favorite since "souless mate"

g .......and heres 5

I like sam.I've always like the original version of this tune and you took it to a place that I would have never envisioned it going. Finally we get to hear your natural voice..I dig it.

The breakdown is cool with the megaphone vocal thing.Cool interpretation of this tune. You should be out gigging if you're not already.Your originals mixed with some clver interpretations of covers like this would be a good show to check out at a Club.

Good job man.

Who's the dick face thats giving out 1 star?Must be some cunt face loser with a gun to his head and nothing better to do.

Pretty good Sam.

I can hear the stuffed up nose, and you are a little off on some of the vox though.

Man what's the world coming to,I actually have something negitive to say about a samicide tune.
I AM depressed!

The music is excellent as usual,I especially liked the synth work.
I think it's a great idea to mix the effected and uneffected vocals.
You have a good voice dude, nobody can sing well with a cold!
(For some of us,without one!):D

I noticed the little caption at the bottom of your Nowhere page, getting in the halloween spirit I see.:p

Good tune,considering your cold.
Get better already,O.K.!:)

i have alway's liked this song. nice cover!!!! i can hear the flu in the vox, you are die hard bro!!!!!!! nice and clean as always.
u pick the coolest tunes to cover!!!!!!

a pleasure as always!!!!!

peace

rick

yeah I know.. some people thought it was too cheesey to comment on, but just cheesy enough to drop a star.. :D

add this to the cheese sessions.. I knew I should have waited to lay the vocals..

jamal buchet - I cant post that song 'Splatterday Night Fever' because it is too much for the clinic.. maybe when I get my website finished it will be on there.. it really is quite different, but it makes similar comparisons to opposites.. only it's not humorous at all.. when the website is up I'll let the clinic know..

A1A2 - the guitar setup went like this, e-flat guitar, Boss PS-5 pitch shifter, Boss AW-3 Dynamic Wah.. I did one guitar through a Sansamp, into a Blue Max compressor, then into a BBE sonic maximizer.. I doubled it with a J-Station, into the blue max, into the BBE.. The beginning clean intro was a Pod Pro into the B.M. into the BBE..

powderfinger - thanks man.. it's the exact melody and everything, just hacked to death..

kormaniac - thanks for the listen man..

SLuiCe - - did you ever know that your my hero? :D I know what your thinking, 'the vocals suck'.. say it! SAY IT!! I'll p.m. you right after this..

Slackmaster 2000 - thanks for checking out the cheese.. I will send you a p.m. this weekend to see if your into playing.. I think I can host without any problems..

jcmm - thanks man.. I know now I can ruin anything..

JMarcomb - ahhhh someone who likes the original.. I have every Seal cd plus some rare promotional stuff.. one has 8 different versions of this song and they're all totally different.. one is acoustic also, and one is almost heavy.. Yeah I agree, the original has some great keyboards.. this was just for fun.. :D

Guernica - dude, you have to keep it real! :D You know the vocals are bad, so you must say it.. I need to hear it so I don't try to get away with stuff like this in the future.. I know that Zombie tune your talking about, but I cant think of it.. I dont have any of his cds, and he gets on my nerves sometimes.. :D this tune blows and I'll be taking it off Nowhere shortly.. :)

Kramer - I'm taking this thing off Nowhere momentarily... maybe I'll resing it when I'm not as nasal, I really don't know why I didn't wait.. I love the original too, read JMarcomb's reply.. I never had so many votes and so few stars before.. :D I can tell by the view to reply ratio that some people hear this sounding as bad as I do.. thanks though.. I'm looking for a band right now.. I had an add in the music paper, but so many freaks answered, I wound up not calling any of them back.. :D

muzeman - thanks for keeping it real Pete! :D I shouldn't have tried to lay vocals as nasal as I am, but I thought I could get away with it.. I'm taking it off Nowhere shortly and we can forget this ever happened! :D appreciate the honesty.. see Guernicas reply. :D

fenderlikingood - no matter what type of garbage I post, your always there with a word or two.. :D take a fast glance at some of the other replys for a list of lame excuses about the vocals.. It's like I always say, some of my tunes suck more than others.. thanks man! :D

thanks again for checking it out dooods! :D

dude, you just got my wife all excited with that tune. I ever see you look at her again, I will fuck you up! j/k... she loves that song, so I had to dig up the CD for her to dance around to

Anywho, I love your version. What prompted you to cover it? I love it when people cover stuff in a completely new style.

you're from another planet, young man...

tres cool....

finaly something without those "morbid" intervals of yours :D ... oh no wait here they come again ... doh ... nice "decomposition" anyway Sam ... liked it alot ... is it real tambourine ... oh yea I found guitars to be a little to "mushy" but I never heard the original ...
cheers
