This is not my genre, so I figured I'd post this up and get opinions right off the bat.

This hasn't been heavily mixed.

Anyway, this is the same band that did the reggae/ska song I posted last.

Opinions and general advice on mixing this kind of music would be appreciated! :D

Hey, this song has "style",

I never heard nothing similar

Is not like any country I know, but sounds "MTV ready", to me.

Sounds nice. Vocal in the mix pushed more? I dunno, I always say that. Trying to be cool.

Anyway, what genre did you say this was?

The end of the song is a bit of a rofl!! :D

Chris:

I dont know if yourself will "master", but
my suggestions on mix I heard:
1: (low cut)50 hz.
2: (bell ~+4db) ~100hz.
3: (hi shelv ~+2db) 2 khz

(I fell that you can improve bass and bass drum, that´s why I talk about the gain on ~100 hz. But I think relation volume/eq is the best way).

Overall mix sounds good to me, specially on mids.Stereo image very good too.

Country song that I heard sounds better mixed and much better played than reggae you posted here (I´m listening now).

Could up the vocals and the highs in general on this. Rather choppy/electric for country but I get the drift.....and the swearing is a bit out of place. The hork at the end is pretty classic spittoon-ish.....

Yeah....way cool.
I think the style is what we used to call "CowPunk" back in the 80's
Maybe it has another name now...but it's a cool song. This could be an underground hit. Good luck

Hmm... It doesn't fit into any country genre I'm aware of. Sounds more "college station rock" to me. I think the mix is good. It will benefit from some multiband compression at mastering.

It's not so country but almost. :)

Sounds good. Sounds good mix-wise. :) Maybe could use some air.

Cool song, nice, fast and punchy-I like it. Mix sounds good, a chicken-picked lead break would add to it though.
I think its quite country myself-only country as the Ramones would play it-all said and done in 2 minutes. Good job! :D
