I've been recording at home using CEP 2.0 for about 9 months and i need some feedback. My computer was built by a friend of mine for the sole purpose of accessing the interweb so i could run my website...it's just bare bones. I run my guitar thru a zoom606 straight into the back of my comp. I also use Acoustica Beatcraft to build the drums. After mixing down all my tracks, I amplify the mixdown 1.5 dbs and then normalize it. Anything more than that (EQ's and filters in CEP, or even T-racks) seems to mostly just make everything sound crappy.

I'm starting to think that everything i have going kinda just happens to work together well, and that i should leave it as is....but i'd like to hear any opinions on what i might do to it, short of dropping $10,000 on a new set-up! :D

Please give it a listen...

a couple examples:

(this one has a bass track)

just figured i'd bump this up on a busy day...any comments appreciated.

El Jefe,

I like it alot! :D

I think you could push the guitars a little harder in the mix though. And I had trouble hearing the bass.

The overall vibe is dead on though, and you did a real nice job of building the drums. Great tribute at the end also!

Nice one!

hahaha....thanks! one of the most recognizable intros EVER!! :D

This was the first song i did with bass on it. I had a hell of a time with it.
After reading your comment i might re-visit the session and work on it with fresh ears. I am attempting to inject more continuity to all the songs i've recorded over the last 9 months, so all feedback is welcome!

I've seen it posted on this site that newbs should probably give some feedback before asking for it from others...and i totally understand and respect that logic. Problem is, most people on this site are probably more experienced and knowledgable than myself, so i don't have alot to draw from as far as giving any constructive criticism. So i appreciate your reply..
