Cool vintage compressor/limiters and gates!

Hey everyone,

If you're like me then you never tire of finding out about cool vintage analogue studio gear!
One of my favourite limiters is the Gain Brain, from Allison Research. They were made back in the early 1970's and with their sister module, the Kepex, became "the sound" of 1970's drums.
I decided to write an article on Allison Research, and I've just put it up on my website. I thought people here might find it a good read! Comments welcome!

Thanks for the link and all the great info contained on it! Looks like a really nice studio you've got there too! Classic gear for sure.

Kepex, I've definitely heard of along with Valley People but Allison Research was a name I was only familiar with for home hifi loudspeakers...or maybe that's a different company?

Anyway, nice opening post and welcome to the forum!
