i have been using cool edit 2, but im considering upgrading, to pro tools m,cubase, or reason 3, wich is better im used to cool edit i had it for years im looking to record rap

I record Hip-Hop 99% of the time, and I use Adobe Audtion (Cool Edit Pro).
There isn't much that those others you mentioned can do, that Adobe Audition can't do either....

I have tried them all and still prefer AA...the new 2.0 has ASIO support so I am doing great...if Adobe release a midi sequencer on the next installment the app will be perfect!
