Hi,

My mix room has acquired a new ambience thanks to this forum. First Andy sold me his vtb1 and I started noticing a blue glow. Then Travis sold me his Wharfedales with a blue light each. I started wondering so I checked the documentation. Sure enough on the vtb1 diagram it said Cool Blue Light.

So is three (or four if you count each tube) blue lights enough. Or would I be cooler if I had more blue lights?

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

You need ten of those spinning blue lights like they used for sales. You can turn them all on when you're recording so everyone knows to step softly. Put one outside the door, too :)

Yeah, and then you can change the name of your studio to K-mart.

The house of blue lights

Now I know what they were talking about.

I think you can have too much of a good thing. If you're looking to move to the next level, get a lava lamp. You'll open up a whole new world. :D

I find the blue lights on my Wharfedales to be a bit too bright, so I've covered them with little bits of Post-It.

I have a powered USB hub that throws more blue light than a TV screen....I actually use it as a night light....

I went with electrical tape for my Wharfedales, then I got the Auralex mo-pads, kind'a makes the tape redundant.

I have wharfedales...blue lights...
I have an M-audio Octane...another blue light...
a 19" ViewSonic flat panel....nother blue light....
and to top it all off....I do have a blue lava lamp....

You can never have enough BLUE! I'm going to string 150 Blue LED Christmas lights up in the studio! :D :D

I've got a Tesla coil that turns out some pretty cool 3 foot blue sparks. It's hell on the equipment though. :D Kinda noisey too but you've gotta have vibe.
