Converting my songs to mp3

I would like to convert a few of my home recorded gems into mp3 format so I can post 'em on the web or send 'em through the (e) mail. I have recorded them on a Korg D8, which has scci outs, analog outs, and an optical out, whatever that is. I don't know where to go from here. Yeah, I can read, but there are no instructions for this conversion in the manual. Can anyone teach this old dog new tricks?

alright , im not at all clued on with outboard recorders ,... is that what the korg is ??? but u said it had analogue outs.. so why not get it into your pc!!do u have a soundcard ...??? u must have something !!
Theres a program called audio grabber .. i think u can find it at www.audiograbber.com ..its great for converting wav. files to mp3 and vice versa .. any let me know if that will work.. im sure theres a very simple way ..

Yeah.
Just get the sound into your PC anyway you can as a WAV file.
Then convert to MP3 using one of the hundreds of converters available...

If you're going for quality, use the digital out/SPDIF route to get the sound to your PC and then encode the MP3 at 128kbps
