I have an 8 track digital workstation (Fostex VF08) and I write
and record original compositions. The sound is great! I have spdif in and out as well as analog in and out and midi in and out. How can I go from my 8 track to the computer? I don't want to spend a whole lot on software for my pc because I already spent a bit on the 8 track.
Is there some kind of adapter or special hardware? I have burned some cds and play it them the computer so why is'nt it possible to e mail the audio? or is it? Also I would love to be able to send my songs by e mail for critiques and perhaps to collaborate. And oh what is mp3 and how do I start using it. I am not new to recording but I am new to computers. PLEASE someone HELP!!!!

Well you can come by Collaboration Central and join in the collaborations there. Then you can see if anyone has what you are looking for to collaborate using the internet. That is what that site is all about.
