When ever I play wav files I get clicks constantly through the songs, this only started happening a few days ago and is not part of the original files. Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Need more info... is it clicking through your soundcard or an external device? What software?

I think its through the soundcard. Could RAM cause this, i've got 256 but its been a little faulty from time to time?

Defective RAM can cause ANY error in the system.
You might try to use the RAM in a bios mode with more waitstates... Some 'supertuners' use simply not enough waitstates for the ram and for some time this may work though out of spec. Maybe your bus is overclocked, too?
Very often, you'll have more fun with your 'puter if you use it slower.
An other problem might be that the thingy simply is too slow (i.e. you're playing wav's through cool edit with lots of effects used...)

This sounds like a clocking or sample rate mismatch.... possible if you have both a built-in s/c and also a recording-based one....
