Does anyone have suggestions for getting rid of (or at least reducing) noise from the power? My outlets are properly grounded, according to my circuit tester, however, I'm getting a lot of buzz and hum in my board. Are there plug strips with noise cancellation features, maybe? Any thoughts appreciated.

Probably just rf interference. Get/borrow a power conditioner and see if that helps.

Have a look at the "Hum and Buzz" article, listed second in the list on my web site:

www.ethanwiner.com/articles.html

Also look for "Using a mixer with a DAW" at the top of the list, which discusses other causes and cures for hum at the end of the article.

Furman probably makes the most recognized power conditioners in the biz.

Sorry..........had to jump on that one. Furman CLAIMS to make power conditioners. Don't believe the marketing hype, I can best describe them with one small word - CRAP.

Go to my friend Bobby's website (Mr. Patchbay), and look under power conditioners. He has a bunch of REAL conditioners with huge thoroids, second hand. And as those things will outlast you......
Don't be surprised that, if you hook one of those things up, you get 6 to 10 dB more dynamic range out of your system.
I would recommend them to anyone running normal 'home' power.

I'd take a little help in finding the website... URL? thx

I didn't realize Mr PB had power conditioners. Is $135 the best deal out there for real RFI filtering?

that's one giant yes, you won't find anything cheaper or better
