I'm going to be recording a choir in a few months and am trying to decide which mics to purchase and how to set them up... let me know what you think of my current plans (suggestions are welcome, but please keep in mind that i have a very limited budget!)

I already have 2 Rode NT3s which i plan to use for micing the piano in A-B setup (or should i use X-Y? A-B is what DPA's "Microphone University" seemed to recommend)

I intend to purchase (and tell me if this is a bad idea) 2 ECM8000s which will be setup in ORTF configuration above and immediately behind the conductor. I will also purchase a CAD m37 (i believe it is the same or very similar to the 177) to mic the soloist, which i will run through the DBX tube preamp.

Does this sound about right? Any changes I should make that will not affect the cost significantly? Are any of these mics poor choices for a classical piece (the Faure Requiem)? Thanks!
