I just remembered something, what made me think of this idea was at a cell phone tower we were working on. I was fascinated by the guy wires, they must have been 500 ft long. If you banged on them they would vibrate at a medium pitch and then echo up and down the length, it sounded just like the laser guns in star wars. Well the first 20 ft of cable that was anchored was absolutely stiff and unmoving but I could see the rest of the length was vibrating. Sound familiar?

no ..... the 1st 20 feet of cable was not stiff and unmoving ...... it just wasn't moving as much as the center and thus, was not visible to your unaided eyes. But it was vibrating just the same.
And I've played around with those sorts of cables too because it is interesting. All you have to do is put your hand on the cable and you will clearly feel it vibrating.

Bingo. Hammering on radio tower guy wires is exactly how they produced the sound of "laser" shots for the Star Wars movies. If you want to hear it really well, firmly grasp the wire with your hand and stick a finger of that hand in your ear. Hammer on the wire with something metallic between your "listening" hand and the top of the tower.
It's easier to see the movement of the wire farther away from you because of foreshortening from your POV, and the wire moves laterally more at points farther away from the attachment point than it does close to the ends, but the whole wire vibrates. BTW, the lateral movement that you see and the sound you hear are not the same vibrational mode.

The whole wire vibrates; the magnitude of its lateral movement diminishes as you approach the ends but it's only zero at the attachment points. You can prove it to yourself; bite down on the wire 5 feet from the end and whack it with a hammer. Make sure your dental insurance is paid up, though.

Well I can see how forced vibrations would be felt, but I still have to work this out in my own mind. Thanks for your input.

If you look out on the intertubes for glowing testimonials about questionable measures taken to improve this or that about sound/audio, you'll certainly find a lot of them. As you say, such anecdotes don't prove anything, especially when it comes from someone who is selling said "improvements" - not a comment specifically about the link you posted.
It also doesn't matter how many people believe a particular hypothesis - the laws of physics aren't decided by democratic vote.

There is so much wrong with the information in that link that it is not even remotely credible. The author admits as much himself.
You can of course believe what you like, that is your privilege. What you will not be able to do is get away with perpetuating those beliefs here if they are deeply flawed and fly in the face of basic physics and materials science. This must have become apparent to you on many occasions past and present.
You say that you are here to learn and increase your knowledge well guess what, we all are, but you will not be able to do that until you accept that demonstrable phenomena that can be proven both physically, mathematically and in practice cannot simply be dismissed as irrelevant because it does not sit well with what you want to believe,
There are many here who have a seriously good understanding of many subjects so rest assured trying to hide false information in a soup of opinion and personal experience and observation is never going to stand up against the acquired scientific and practical knowledge of those that base their understanding on thousands of years of scientific investigation. You will continue to be called out when you post such opinion as advice or fact you can be sure of that.
Good luck with reinventing physics, maths and material science, you will need it.

Okay.... But considering this is a Home Recording Forum and not some universities physics lab, shouldnt we take everything that is discussed here with a grain of salt? Isn't it for discussions, opinions, experiences and just to shoot the shit. Does everyone have to prove everything they say with some published research paper? It makes this whole site seem a bit pretentious. With all due respect what makes some of the members the Forum Police? I dont think I need luck, I just need to continue my search for the truth. The world is not going to end if I continue to beleive in certain principles, proven or otherwise. And again thanks for not resorting to spiteful insults.

When you bring in to question the validity of accepted physics and materials science then no it is not open to discussion. It is just plain wrong and I and others will point it out. If you continue to claim that it is correct then I will ask for proof because if something is known to be true the proof is readily available and it shouldn't be hard to post. I would always post supporting evidence should anyone ask me to do so, it's just a plain courtesy. Once the evidence or supporting information is out there then a proper discussion can be had about it's credibility, not before.
As to resorting to insults I'd remind you again that it wasn't me or anyone else here that started that whole trend a while back by neg repping popular members, insulting both light and myself and continually referring to those with a good deal of knowledge and experience as arrogant know-it-alls and the like. I can point you to the thread in which that was previously discussed if you wish.
Seriously VP if you put in as much effort into learning the accepted stuff instead of thinking it up yourself and trawling the internet for a shred of dubious proof you'd be half way to being an arrogant know-it-all yourself.
