when i render to a new track or burn to a cd from acid, it sounds 2wice as fast....chipmunk if you know what i mean...why? how do i fix?

samson c01>ART v3 Studio Tube MP>2496>acid

if u were gonna ask, i set it as a one-shot...does it have to do w/ the bpm? i'm clueless and its kinda urgent.

Has the pre-burned file been converted down to 16-bit?

Is Acid operating at 24-bit?

Peace...

Because other media can handle it - DVD for example can handle 24/96, and I'm sure that there are others, some not even invented yet perhaps. Plus, it's so much cooler when your amplifier goes to 11... :D

Also, recording at the higher sample rate gives your stuff more accuracy. And the higher bit depth helps out if you do a whole bunch of processing on your tracks, like adding bunches of effects, because the effects can be applied with greater precision (more bits to use in their calculations). Then, if you dither down to 16/44.1 before burning to CD, your final product should sound better than if you had just recorded at 16/44.1 in the first place.

HTH, :)
