I'm thinking that insded of going out and buying a whole new cab for my bass rig for $300, I'd like to just split the signal comming off my bass to both my half stack and my old 60 watt combo. I know I can get a 1/4" splitter for about $3 at Radioshack, but will my signal diminish going through one of those things?

You might run into ground loop issues which will cause an annoying humming sound.

No, but plugging them both into the same circuit most likely will. Another thing to watch for is mixing driver sizes. If one amp has 15s and the other 10s, running them both together could cause some cancellations, and actually leave you with less low end than just using one or the other.

I'm lost, so I'll just map out what I'm trying to do. I have a 150 watt Ampeg half stack, and a 60 watt Hartke combo amp. Think I would have any trouble running them together?

Most likely not. Go to Radio Shack, get a $3 splitter, and have at it. :)

We were pointing out that there are other issues you may run into besides signal quality, namely a big buzzing sound, and less bass than you started with.

The ground loop problem I mentioned before is very easily solved (in a safe manner, not by simply lifting the ground on one of your amps or using a ground-lifting adaptor). Furthermore, with bass amps it *probably* won't be too much of an issue. If they were high gain guitar amps it would be a different story. I just wanted to make you aware that it will most likely happen.

As long as there's not some crazy electrical principal that I don't know that would make my amps explode, I'm happy.

You're not familiar with the "Y cable amp explosion" theorem

No, but I am familiar with the "cab full of dynomite" menuver.
