Take my comments out of context, and out of order, and they paint a pretty bad picture right? Check the first post; do I have an attitude? no. What came afterwards is my reaction to those that chose to say what they said. I replied back with my opinion. Now why is it that I am the bad guy again? I didn't initiate any personally related negativity; I just reacted to it. Keep that in mind ...

I knew of this site long, (years), before I ever posted here and I repsect many of the opinions and the people on this site. My arguments are meant for those that are exactly what they are acusing me of being; egotistical fools with no talent that are just talking shit. You see, I could name names; but I prefer not to play that game ...

The kid down the street wouldn't give some of you older rejects the time of day anyway, so there you go. It's funny that all of the sudden people want to pick their fans based on supposed artistic merit. I guess if that's all you can do is to wish someone was into your music besides your friends or family, then more power to you. Just don't try to belittle others that have opinions also.

And what of the other opinions that you didn't comment on? Those that are in the "music business" ...

Why not comment on those as well? Some of those people are easy to track down. If I gave you their e:mail addresses, would you write them and tell them that their opinions are meaningless? Yeah ... that's what I thought.

firstly, yes models need loving. so do porn stars. they'd be poor if they never got no loving....

Simple Silence:
Vocals sound boxy, muffled, higher volumes sound clipped, abysmal diction, mic technique could use some work. Impossible to make out the lyrics
Pitchy vocals - most especially on louder and higher pitched sections

Guitar tone overly distorted, fizzy, harsh, has no clarity or definition. Sounds like it was recorded direct through a cheap multifx pedal a la Zoom 505. Timing issues during leads VERY noticable

Bass is overly boomy and mushy - no attack, no balls, battling with drums, lots of mud

Good drum sound!

Stopped listening @ 3:11, heard enough

Suggestions:

Give serious thought to retracking the bass and guitars, after you buy, beg, borrow, or steal a decent amp.

Get some better mikes for recording the guitars and vocals. Learn about mike placement for guitars.

Learn about mike techniques and get some voice training. At least enough to maintain constant pitch.

Quite honestly, the quality of the recording is so poor, I had no chance to judge the merits of your music. It might be good, but the presentation your recording gave it totally prevented me from having a chance to even try to judge it.

Track it better, pay more attention to the mix, and it will present better.

The guitars were recorded direct. My Marshall DSL401 is broke down so I had to go direct; so much for "miking procedures" huh?

Well, i only read the first page of replies. I listend to the songs and at first my ears started ringing because the volume in my headphones went crazy. Then I realized it was EQ problems as well. Then, well, then I realized that the tunes were actually not all that good...at all. I like trippy type music sometimes, when it's done with good taste and moderation. The songs you posted sound like shit dude........sorry, but if you were like my best friend and you gave them to me to listen to I would tell you the same thing.

So with that in mind, I would say keep coming back and posting music for critiques. You might get some good advice and ideas if you show more humility the next time you do.
