Yeah

One of my IT buddies suggested a flash bit and then a front door with a picture or something.
Only thing is, I am not only limited when it comes to web design, but I don't think my DNS allows for certain things.
I am working off of a template that doesn't allow me to center those pages unfortunately.
I would love to have a little flash film in the beginning with a "click here to enter site"...but have no clue about how I would go about doing that...on top of that, I would have to buy an additional page. I will do a little research and see what I come up with. I appreciate everyone's input! Keep it coming!
Especially if you have any knowledge about Flash player, applets...etc. I would love to customize, but don't know much about web design!

Most webhosts don't descriminate against flash movies. If they let you put up music then they usually have nothing against that.

It sound like you have a very small plan though...."buy an additional page"

If you let me know the name of your host I will check into it for you. But if you would really like a Flash movie for the intro. Even just something short, you should check out my friends website at GetFlashed.net. Its still undercontruction at the moment but you will be able to email him and even view a movie or two I think. He'll hook you up, just tell him I sent you.

To center your page you go into the HTML code and look for the part that said <body>

I checked you site...you have some other stuff in there too.
You need to add the <center> tag. Your code should look like this:

All of that was from a template that my DNS provided, so that I would not have to be some kind of web designing wiz to put it together!

I know how to make some changes...provided that it is written out for me. I am still afraid I'll screw it up though and won't be able to change it back.

I saw your site and I was wondering how you did all of that stuff...it is pretty cool.

Anyway, when I have more time to mess with it and figure out what the heck I am doing...I'll jump right on it.

I might have to buy an additional page to do what I really want to do. I will have to also eventually get someone who knows what they are doing to do the cool applets and flash media to help me out.

Just go into INDEX.HTML or INDEX.HTM file and then replace with this.

Seriously though, you cannot screw this up. Its not that hard. The post with the <center> tag is what you do. All there is is typing in <center> in that spot on the top of the page, and then typing </center> at the spot on the bottom of the page. The file should be called index.html or index.htm.

How much storage space does NSI provide?

I get 50megs for $10 a month with mine (ADDR).

Hey, checkout www.powweb.com. For $90 a year or so you get 65, sount 'em, 65 Gigs of transfer along with 1000 megs of storage. :eek:

It breaks down to $7.77 a month.

they have a good referal program too so if you refer someone you get $15 knocked off of next years bill. So if you get a couple people, then you could really get that even cheaper. cough cough www.berntson.us cough cough

Its good service though. There hasn't been any down time yet on me.

I goofed...I actually get 150Mb storage, not 50Mb. Really way more than I need. Outlaws, your deal is cheaper, but I've been getting by fine and haven't had any downtime either.

My main thrust was to determine what NSI provides.
