I got a "Green Tag Sale" flyer from the devil's lair a couple of days ago. One of the things they have advertised is a Roadrunner brand tweed guitar case for $59.99. Their normal price is $99.

I went over there at lunch and had a look. It's a really nice case for the money. I bought two. :o :D

If I had any cash I'd pick one up. I'm guessing it's not a style-specific fit?

No, it's generic. I plan on using one for my Strat and the other for the old Silvertone. If necessary I'll add a some foam to keep the guitars from sliding around.

I bought one about a year ago at GC to house an OLP 12 string I bought. It's not bulletproof, but it's a good case for the money, and a hell of alot better than a gigbag. I think I gave about 60 bucks for it then, after a little haggling-but I was buying a guitar, too.

i bought one of those a few years ago for my strat ...... great deal

I have a few of those. They seem to fit my teles and strats perfect so perfect that they had to be designed for them. They aren't heavy duty cases but they never leave the studio anyway. I have a couple SKBS I use for transporting the Fenders when necessary. MF has them on sale for $50.00 in the little flyers they cram into shipping cartons.

Speaking of MF has anyone else noticed how slow they are about processing oriders these days. I've started purchasing from AMS, Sweetwater "not much faster than MF" and Full Compass. I have to say Full Compass has everything and is superfast. AMS has very little but what they do have arrives twice as fast as the others.

All my mail order business has been with AMS, and they are very prompt.
