I bought an SAE 1800 parametric for $50 once...you have to look into used stuff untill you are ready to dump $500...or you are just going to get Phonic...ART...or Alesis trash.

I was recently looking for a cheap Hardware EQ and I couldn"t find anything in stereo for less than $200 , I only needed a mono one so I ended up getting a 15 band with 3 notch filters for $120 , it was made by a company called "Alto" ...Its not bad ....

For $50 I'd stick with plugins. A $50 EQ, graphic or otherwise, will suck...bad.
