Ceramics only go back for 12 thousand years ago. How can you ignore the tens of thousands of years of stone tools before that:

How can you? It's not like someone just one day said "this fire thing is great -- I wonder what happens when I cook clay? Oh, look a bowl! This is totally new and it's not at all like this chipped **STONE BOWL** that I've been using, oh no!" -- come on!
 
In my opinion Ceramica stole ceramics from the inventor, Sir Amick of Ven, using shameful legal trickery. He was an old man at the time and unable to defend himself from those high powered corporate lawyers. He died a pauper with nothing to show for his brilliant work but the Farnsworth award he was given on his deathbed.
