CD track info

I'm wondering if anyone can explain how to get track info, such as album name, cover art, and song titles, burned onto an audio CD so that when someone else loads it on their PC (in Media Player or whatever) it shows up. I've heard this all comes down from an online database, but if that's the case, what has to be on your CD for the computer to know where to look?

You have to get ISRC codes then register with a database such as Gracenote.
