I am trying to convert some old cassettes to .WAV files, with no luck. I have an Opcode SonicPort optical unit, that has both optical in/out, as well as analog in/out.
This unit runs USB out to the computer, avoiding any sound cards, and works great when converting fron DAT to .WAV, but I'm stuck on how to use this unit for Cassette conversions. Also, do I need to set any conversion rates in my computeror software? I am using Sound Forge XP 4.5 to record on to. I guess I need to be walked through the process step by step, if anyone out there has the patience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
