Just messing around with some synth sounds from my Yamaha MU80 and put them down on the 246, did a quick mix and wanted to see what you guys think about some of the sounds the 246 is able to capture. The only thing I did once I got it into the computer was normalize it a little bit, other than that it's the 246 supplemented by an fmr rnc, rnla, lexicon lxp-1&5 and a symetrix se-400 stereo parametric equalizer. Like I said, it's just messing around, but I think it captures a little bit of that cassette recording magic. By the way, I'm not very good at the synth yet. Any suggestions? Thanks for listening.

Cool sounds, definitely sounds vintage between the synth and the tape. The panning has me a little weirded out, it takes quite a while before the right side catches up with the left, and I think the frequency balance is off a bit too--the left is noticeably brighter.

But take that with a grain of salt, because I am partially deaf in my right ear :o

Yeah lopside intro could be a bit closer together.
Has an Eno-Fripp feel to it (without Fripp's guitar obviously but it's the way Eno works with Bob that is important).
You have the vibe of swelling bleeping and droning nicely in place.
You do have to try to avoid the gimmicky sweeps as much as possible as they'll cheapen it to Galaxion level 4.
Nice work, I enjoyed the sounds and feel.

Thanks for the reply guys. Yeah...I see where both of you guys are coming from for sure. The left side frequency wise is a little brighter...and the intro is a bit loose, it takes about 30 seconds for the song to find it's "groove". I also see what you mean about the sweeps...it's just that they're so fun to do! But so are alot of things I guess...to much of a good thing and all.

One of my all time favorite arcade games...
