CARD READER bypass SOUNDCARD?

Since I have win98se, with the MR8 I have to use a separate card reader to import wav into my pc for burning. Question: When I save a file on the PC from the card reader, then use Nero to access this file and burn, I am NOT going via the soundcard right??? The reason I ask is because I do not want to have to get involved with buying a soundcard (and configuring) just to burn high quality stuff off the MR8. I want as clean a signal path as possible.

In your case, I don't think you have to worry.

Nero is burning from the original wav, so you don't need a sound card unless you want to play the wav on that computer. I have Nero and my burner running on a box with no sound card.
