Hey guys, I've been on the hunt for a good drum program/software as that seems to be my bigest downfall in my recordings...I've decided on EZ Drummer :)

I've got it loaded on my PC, and I've refreshed the effects list, but I can't seem to be able to find it in AA....I'm sure it's just something very simple that I've overlooked, but none the less I'm still stuck...

Can someone help me get EZ to show up and get it running?

Thanks,
Rick

Look in the "Unsupported" section in the effects list. AA 1.5 doesn't support VST instruments (VSTi's), and has little to no support for MIDI. There might be a wrapper for it but I doubt it.

I'd suggest taking a look at Reaper. That is one reason I switched from AA 1.5 to Reaper.

Well man that SUCKS! .... Here I am thinking that I'm taking a step forward,...and I end up going backwards :(

Anybody know if AA 2.0 will support this or not?.....maybe it's time to make the switch to Sonar 6 PE after all :(

Rick

No I don't think 2.0 supports it either.

AA is a great, easy program for recording but the couple things it lacks is enough reason to switch to something else. :(

Yeah, AA has been real good to me and I know my way around it very well.....for a beginner that is :) ..

I do have Sonar 6, but it's soooooo foreign to me comparred to AA....what takes me 5 minutes in AA takes me like an hour in Sonar :(

Yeah, that's why I suggested Reaper. It really seems like it has everything anyone could ever need and is only $40. You can try it fully functional as long as you like too which is nice.

Once you get familiar with the interface and do a couple projects in it, it's really simple and fast to do everything.

I'd at least give it a shot. ;)
