The first one (Does Anybody) is a collaboration with another person who frequents this site (ChuckU). It was done via file exchange over the internet. Chuck and his friends did the instruments, sent me a Cakewalk file and me and my friends did the vocals.

The other (How Bout Us) was also sort of a collaboration. Most of the instruments and all the vocals were done by me and my friends. Chuck did the trumpet parts, and Lt. Bob (another Home Rec'r) did the sax.

Hey Mike!!! I hadn't heard "Does Anybody Know What Time It IS?" yet. Nice you and the boys did on that.

I love Chicago from way back. *sniff* I always wanted to sing this song with a band *sniff*.

The lead vocalist did a very good job on this. The BG Vocs are great as usual too.

Nice work!!!

Hey Bob!!

I had previously listened to "Christmas In Chicago" at JPF but hadn't gotten around to listening to your other stuff until tonight. Some nice stuff there. I especially liked "Then God Made You" although I didn't listen to all of it.

Good sounding stuff there Bob. Especially the Country stuff ;) :D

Well, I am currently only doing guitar/vocal work tracks as I have determined that, at least for a while, I need to spend much more time writing songs and much less time twiddling with the virtual pots and sliders. I'll get back to a full production some day, but not until I get more stuff written and get my arse out in the songwriting community here in Nashville. For now I'm happy just trying to figure out how to get good sounds out of my voice and my new Martin HD-35 :D.

But...here is what I have been doing. The newest songs are "Where The River Flows" (redone with the new guitar) "What Would Jesus Do?" and "Sins Of My Father" (which is a first draft - I'm sure it will go through some sort of re-write).

Thanks for the listen and nice words, John. Maybe you can coax Chuck into doing another one (although I think this one took more effort than he originally thought when he started it).

Most recently I completed a song called "Procession". It was actually a collaboration with someone over the internet at a site called www.tapeworm.org. Click on view published mp3s and you will see it 2-3 songs down.

While not perfect from a mix (and performance!) standpoint, it was as far as I could take it with my abilities at this point. I think it is a huge improvement over other stuff I have recorded.

In addition to just the knowledge and experience I have acquired over time it is the first track that I recorded entirely through a better signal chain and sound card.

BTW, the site is totally cool. You can listen to some clips that people post and either use them to create something new, or contribute to their pieces. And you can then work with people and request specific things. I would say the balance of people on the site right now are more electronic music oriented. As more of a composer/songwriter/part-time-singer I find it great for adding percussion and other sounds.
