It's really unfair if it was impossible.

I think I could drill the new holes for the fulcrum points with a drill press and just put the floyd locking nut on the other side of the nut that is there.

It would be a liscensed floyd of course.

My 4 year old want's me to do it. :D

i would imagine that you want to do it more than your 4 yead old wants it. :D

if the floyd has the same string spacing as the current bridge, it should work fine. the child's guitar could have a thinner body than a regular guitar and might require you to cut down the tremolo block to fit in the cavity.

if you do this, post some pics. :D

Ping Floyd Rose ...

The latest Floyds are made by Ping , and they are very good . Much like the Jackson Floyds of the mid 90's ...They have different size blocks , if the little guitar requires it ...Good luck from a seasoned Floyd user ...

Starting a 4 yr. old out with a Floyd? WOW, imagine by the time he/she turns 16!!

With the right tools, enough patience and know how, it could be done, in theory at least. The width may present a problem, the FR may be too wide. Also the bulk size of a FR on a child size strat will be a bit of overkill and will likely just get in the way.

Being a big fan of the absurd, I find this concept intriguing. The only concern that I can think of is the thickness of the body. Is a ministrat thinner than a normal one?
