Can I Make My Keyboard Play The Stock Sounds Via Midi

HOW WOULD I GET MY BOARD TO PLAY THE ONBORD SOUNDS VA MIDI
INSTEAD OF IT PLAYING THE SOFTSYNTH SOUNDS
(i already know MIDI has no sounds just triggers signals)
I WAS WONDERING COULD I HOOK IT UP VIA MIDI AND SOMEHOW
GET THE ONBOARD SOUNDS FROM MY KEYBOARD TO PLAY VIA MIDI
HOW IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED?
IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
AND WHATS THE PURPOSE OF A BOARD HAVING MIDI IF IT CANT TRIGGER THE SOUNDS OF THE BOARD THAT YOU LIKED IN THE FIRST PLACE?
 
You may be having problems with:
#1 your local on and off in your synthesizer
#2 the global midi settings in your sequencer software
#3your midi channel settings in software ,and/ or on your keyboard.
#4. your midi cable routing.
Check all of these and let me know how you make out.

You plug the midi out of your computer into the midi in on your keyboard, set the computer to send on the same channel the keyboard is set to receive on.
