Can I glue 2 1" pieces of rigid fiberglas together

I want to make some of the low end corner absorbers for my studio but the only kind of rigid fiberglas I can find is only 1 inch thick. Would using a spray adhesive to glue 2 sheets together be acceptable for 2 inch? Also, would I need to remove the foil backing from it or can it be left on? I would hate to do the wrong thing out of ignorance and have to start over. That stuff is expensive and I was lucky to even find it. I thought it was a common building material but not around here.

What you need is a product called "structural adhesive".

Its a spray on, its rather thick, and you can glue fiberglass panels together assuming they are saturated in resin (which I'm assuming is the case).

You can also try a boat/marine store - they sell similar products that are excellent for gluing fiberglass panels together, simply because boats are made of fiberglass panels

Some larger-scale auto stores might have it as well, in the same section/isle where they sell "bondo". Of course, don't use bondo, its not an adhesive, but the glue will be in the same isle.

marine store is your best bet, then a building supply place, then finally an auto store.
