That's only about £4000 more then what most of these decks sell for currently.

Keep shopping, dude! :D

Cheers! :)

I thought it was slightly overpriced.......not that I need it, with the two MS-16 I own slowly coming together.
Was it perceived to be a much better machine than the MS-16? I can see the elctronics look more sophisticated.

The electronics aren't necessarily more sophisticated per say. More-so, its that they're more ergonomically set up for calibrating the deck without removing any cover panels to get to them. But more so, the real change is in the way the ATR-60-16 was sold as a complete package where the MS-16 was more of an Ala-cart / modular design where the noise reduction, remote kits and the CS-65 roll around cart were all optional items. Spec-wise, the two are essentially identical. Spot erase, is the only real extra feature.

Cheers! :)

You could just borrow from the bank, which is what I did in the early 1990's to buy my first 16 track.

About the price? Tell him he's dreaming.

Its cool, but its still a 1" machine. I got my ATR80-24 (new) a couple years ago for far far less. Keep looking.
